The team at LifeVac Europe are very pleased to share more amazing news that LifeVac has helped save yet another life in the UK Adult Care Sector. This time within Hallmark Care Homes following their group roll out. An elderly resident was eating his dinner when he came into difficulty, a piece of chickenÊbecame lodged in his airway and he began to choke. Staff acted quickly delivering BLS choking protocol (back blows and abdominal thrusts) which unfortunately failed to dislodge the obstruction. The gentleman became unconscious, nurses grabbed their LifeVac wall mounted kit and deployed LifeVac. Within seconds LifeVac dislodged the chicken and the gentleman started to breathe and regained consciousness.
