Wo wende ich das LifeVac-Gerät an?
Tragen Sie die Oberseite der LifeVac-Maske auf dem Nasenrücken zwischen den Augenbrauen und die Unterseite der Maske zwischen Unterlippe und Kinn auf.
So verwenden Sie LifeVac, wenn das BLS-Erstickungsprotokoll bei einem liegenden, sitzenden und stehenden Opfer fehlgeschlagen ist.
- Untersuchen Sie: Welche Art von Ersticken? Bewerten Sie den Schweregrad.
- Drücken und drehen Sie die Maske in die Basis Ihres LifeVac-Geräts.
- Halten Sie die Maske mit Ihrer weniger dominanten Hand fest auf dem entsprechenden Anwendungsbereich und achten Sie darauf, dass der Kopf ruhig nach hinten geneigt ist.
- Benutzen Sie Ihre dominante Hand am LifeVac-Griff, drücken Sie ihn herunter und ziehen Sie ihn.

I first became aware of this product listening to a pod cast, I thought it was such a great idea, I bought two, one to keep at home and another I gave as a gift to my nephew who had recently had a baby daughter. I think everyone should have one, especially if you have small kids. And do yourself a favor, buy a genuine LifeVac and not one of the off shore knock offs. LifeVac did all the testing to make sure their product would stand the test of time and be ready when you need it, don’t take that chance to save a few dollars on an untested knock-off!

I have a special needs son who has a swallowing difficulty. He is spastic quadriplegic and is wheelchair dependent. Because of this he can develop thick mucus plugs and choke on his own saliva. Additionally, with a delayed swallow he only eats puréed food. He can still choke on this. I purchased this travel life vac in case he develops problems in the car that normal suction will not reach. One thing to note, check your masks regularly because they do eventually deflate and you will have to purchase more. I think it was a year and a half before mine went bad.

I like the yellow pouch it comes in- it is relatively compact and easy to spot. Based on facts presented, when a life saving measure is needed, it’s an incredible product. I just received mine, but some how missed the fact a practice mask comes with the home unit only versus the mobile unit. I purchased the mobile unit so I could have it available when eating out, but was disappointed when opening it, no practice mask comes with it. I’m sure it was advertised as such, but I missed that. Both units are the same with the exception one comes with a practice mask, the other doesn’t. To practice, I had to open the package in order to get to a mask. But I suspect, if one was choking, I’m not sure the person is gonna care if I had practiced with it or not.

I’m a 73-year-old who lives alone. Recently I choked on one of my meds. Thankfully I was able to dislodge the pill with a sharp blow to my chest but the ordeal left me shaken. I’m a CPR instructor, specializing in on-site dental CPR classes. About 20 years ago one of my dental clients was doing a tooth distraction on a 6-year old patient and accidentally dropped the tooth. It went down her throat. Although they did everything they could, the little girl did not survive.
