On December 9th, 2025, a 2-year-old boy choked on a cheese stick resulting in a complete airway obstruction.
First aid protocol was followed but could not dislodge the obstruction. LifeVac was then applied and successfully dislodged the obstruction on the second application. The child’s mother described the incident as follows:
“My husband and I were unable to dislodge a piece of cheese stick that my almost 3-year-old was choking on. He was not able to cough or make any sound. We ended up using our LifeVac to remove it.
