Police officer saves a man from choking to death with LifeVac
The team at LifeVac Europe are very pleased to share more amazing news of another life saved in a choking emergency, this time LifeVac was used again by EMS.
A Nassau County Police Officer responded to a choking incident at Point Lookout Ale House in New York where he saved the life of a gentleman choking on a piece of steak.
“I was the officer that used the LifeVac at the scene. I was so amazed by how it worked. The victim was clearly unconscious at the time of arrival. The civilian at the scene was performing CPR by himself while the victim was on his side. The first application with LifeVac the obstruction was stuck while the victim still on their side, Used a second time after adjusting the victim on their back and a piece of meat came out. The victim quickly gained consciousness and color to his face. Victim was talking within a minute of clearing the obstruction. Was then transported by Point Lookout fire department ambulance and treated at a local hospital.
