On August 14th, 2025 a 10-month-old boy choked on a piece plastic from a cooking oil bottle lid. LifeVac dislodged the airway obstruction on the second application.

10-month-old Remi, from Enfield, UK, put a piece of plastic from a cooking oil bottle lid in his mouth, which caused a complete airway obstruction. His quick thinking mum, Megan, performed back blows and chest thrusts which could not dislodge the obstruction in Remi’s airway. Megan then applied LifeVac and on the second application dislodged the piece of plastic.

Remi received a medical examination following the incident, kept in for observation, and was given the all clear.

“We tried back blows, chest thrust which did not work. LifeVac was used after unsuccessful attempts of first aid and successfully cleared blockage. I can’t thank you enough. You saved my sons life.” – Megan, Mother.

The LifeVac Travel Kit is a preferable option for travel use. It is easily stored and carried due to it’s zip bag with handle, ideal for cars and handbags.
