On January 2nd, 2026 an 95-year-old male choked on a sandwich causing a complete airway obstruction.
Being a wheelchair user and frailty, the gentleman could only received back blows which were unable to dislodge the obstruction. LifeVac was then applied while the gentleman was in a sitting position. On the 3rd application LifeVac dislodged the piece of sandwich helping save the gentleman’s life.
