It’s with great pleasure, we are able to share wonderful news that LifeVac has been used again within the Adult Care Sector in the UK.
In 2020 Priory Group undertook a group roll out of LifeVac, as part of an improvement plan in how they manage choking emergencies.
A resident began to choke during meal time, which became a full airway obstruction. Staff acted very quickly delivering BLS Choking protocol which failed to dislodge the obstruction. Staff then grabbed their LifeVac wall mounted kit and deployed LifeVac within seconds. LifeVac dislodged the full airway obstruction saving the residents life.
